Today's new music is “Static”, a soft and melancholy piece for the Sega Genesis.

The first model of the Sega Genesis has a flaw in its YM2612 FM synth that causes soft sounds to pick up a noticeable staticky distortion. Adding soft noise to try and cover it brought back memories of insomnia and an old television, so I leaned in and embraced that unique sound.
